The Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities' (GCDD) Summer edition of the Making a Difference quarterly news magazine encourages all Georgians to register to vote, especially people with disabilities who need to make their votes count. This issue introduces Team Supreme, kids with disabilities who have superpowers, created by Atlanta-based artist, Joshua Leonard to provide an inclusive role model for kids. Also meet Atlanta's own caped crusader, Danger Woman, who fights for people with disabilities who have been denied justice. GCDD Impact highlights a partnership with Georgians for a Healthy Future to offer Medicaid advocacy trainings to empower people with disabilities to fight for Medicare support to live in their community. Around the State spotlights Valdosta, Georgia's Miracle Field, an accessible baseball field that provides opportunities for children with disabilities. Real Communities explains how their Welcoming Community Dialogues answer the question, "Who's Missing from the Table? Plus, continue to enjoy another story from the Story Collection project, Expert Update, What's Happening in Washington? and the Community Calendar.
